jtag tap controller project

Hello,

I'm student and I'm started projecting analog circuit. I must to project IEEE1149.1 controller and it's layout in magic which will can be use in any digital unit.

Please, can someone help me :cry:

Hi,

IEEE 1149.1 standars is JTAG standard and u can download the standard fro IEE site. It is a purely digital circuit. The heart of the JTAG controller is the TAP controller. And TAP controller is nothing but a 16 state FSM. So your first task will be to develop JTAG TAP controller.

u can get ARM's JTAG info on ARM's manual ..
i have attached here a jtag from altera...
there is info how tap controller is implemented inside a chip
I hope it will help you.
