hi
what is the main advances in the 4ht generation mobile communication regarded to the former generations
thanks

hai,
in 4th gen ofdm may be well utilized.in 4G telecommunications will integrate communication with IT.
In future 4G mobile communications, two economically contradictive demands will arise; ubiquity and diversity.
In the future wireless service provision will be characterized by global mobile access (terminal and personal mobility), high quality of services (full coverage, intelligible, no drop and no/lower call blocking and latency), and easy and simple access to multimedia services for voice, data, message, video, world-wide web, GPS, etc. via one user terminal.

Overview of the Fourth-generation Mobile Communication System

Abstract
NTT DoCoMo is conducting research on the fourth-generation (4G) mobile communication system.
This article outlines the technical issues involved in establishing such a system taking into consideration
the capability and performance expected from future mobile communication systems. It also overviews
the system configuration and discusses activities related to the standardization of 4G mobile communication systems.

4th generation!!, i didnt hear about this generation, may be more bandwidth??, or the transmission scheme all changed???

this generation is different from the prvious generations because it will be dependent in computer networks because it will rely on IP V6 it will have different modulation methods dpending on the application to be used the main comparsions will be between WCDMA and OFDM.WCDMA is perfect for voice and perfect for immuning of noise.the problem will be in the data rate for downloading so that OFDM used the main problems faced till now is the power issues (power hangry)there many applications will be relying on this systems like PAN which will merge with this system.

Beyond 3G or 4G are more of buzz words.4G will be integrated network encompassing wireless, wired , ATM, satellite comm etc.

Higher bit rates without LOS, with the possibilty to use streaming aplications.

in laymans terms as the 3g didn't startup as was expected the fourth Generation will encorporate new acess technics as WCDMA, CDMA2000, OFDM, MIMO and their combinations as apposed to fdm and tdm in 2G and 2.5G. Allso the 4G systemms will focus on interoperabilaty and convergance between different systems and networks, it will offer beter data networking aswell as QOS.
