Help me select a RTOS for Altera FPGA board

I am using ALTERA Fpga (Cyclone edition) board. We have provision of SDRAM on it.
Now i want to port RTOS into it.

Could any body suggest which RTOS is suitable. As I am beginner in this i want to see

1. How exactly to port RTOS on board.
2. If you know any free RTOS please suggest.

Please share if you have any example or tutorial or internet-link which helps me...

you can try eCos. It's a free one and also easy to understand.
