Hello,
I need to find some information about hpw IR seeker works. If any one have any useful source that includes complete information about these seekers, please let me know.
I am mostly looking for e-books or academic thesis.
Regards

Re: IR seeker

Hi, What I can tell is that they are using microwaves to heat non-metal materials (like plastic land mines) and that they use IR detection to detect temperature differences to detect what kind of material is in the ground.

Paul.

PS: You will not find thesis on this subject since its classified.

Re: IR seeker

yogi, IR Seekers are not much used in Robotics, more in Defense/ combat tactics to seek our targets.

IR Seeking is definitely not fully classified at Robot level and much information is there.

Check out Servo Magazine. They carried a candle seeker, perhaps July 2006/2005 ?
