Dear all

I want to use(m) multiplier of bjt to optimise our design flow.
but netlist file of schematic don't include m(only have area item)
for MOSFET is ok, who can tell me how to set it.

Thanks,
rehty

Hello,
in Cadence u could name the MOST as for instance M0<1:3> then u get a 3 multiplier from 1,2,3 >>>> so u may try this on BJT

You can modify the CDF data of bjt. Add "m" to the simulation information for auLVS.

the key issue is at netlist stage:
it seems diva use spice format as its default
so the netlist don't include m.
how can set it to spectre mode. for spectre netlist, m is included

Diva uses neither spice nor spectre netlist. It uses its own format.

so, the question is how to let diva netlist for BJT device with m parameter.
who can help me on it?

Make sure you have edit permission for the bjt. In the CIW, select menu "Tools / CDF / Edit". Fill in the form with library name and cell name of the bjt device. Change "Effective" to "Base". Then scroll down to see the "Simulation Information" section. Click the "Edit" button in this section. Change the simulator to "auLVS" if it is not the default. Then add "m" to the "instance parameters" (may be called other things, I'm not sure). You can find it by the already included parameter -- area.

Thanks, Hughes.

it's ok now, this is really very help for me.
