Hi all, i'm looking for this type of programmer(serial), preferably ISP coz i need to build one which size is as small as possible. I would to know the software to download the .hex as well. Plz help, thanks........
 

for avr avrdude bsd programmer is the cheapest one. See my programmer

i used yaap for long time, avrdude is choice for present time ;0)
 

thanx, but i needa simple serial programmer for both avr and 8051.....
 

DEAR,

I download this file before.In this file you can find programs needs to program

AT89S8252 through SPI (with serial port).You can use for AT89S5x & AT89S89xx.

With a little modifications i think you can use it for AVR.But you can't use it for

AT89Cxx series.
