Re: Encounter log file

For the auto place & route, you can follow the steps in the below link:

There are some errors of your config files(.conf). You can set them in the GUI of Encounter, so you no need to import your config file.

Only 4 files you need to import to the Encounter:
1. .v (your synthesized netlist)
2. .lef (technology library)
3. .tlf (timing library)
4. .io (footprint) import if you have this file

**ERROR: Die Area is not defined
**ERROR: Standard Cell Region is not defined
**ERROR: Incorrect height (0.000000)
**ERROR:

Before you can do auto P&R, you need specify the core or die area (the area allow the metals to route).

This parameters can be set in Encounter GUI:
Floorplan -> Specific Floorplan

1. Set Core/Die Size (height and width)
2. Core to IO/Die Boundary > 0

Hope this can help you

:D
