    The working theory behind the voltage control circuit in this copitts common base VCO

    Hi :)

    Can any one tell me the working theory behind the voltage control
    circuit in this copitts common base vco[attached jpg].

    The voltage control ckt is in the centre of the figure. So plz explain
    the following:

    *purpose of resistor[1000ohm] from between transistors. Center and left transistor
    *why we use a current source/mirror to pull the center transistor
    *the capacitor at the volt control port: between the center transistor
    and current mirror.

    Also, this schematic is in @DS, but if I were to simulate it in C@dence
    what ports would I need and were would I stick them?

    The details in the jpg-file is not readable. Can you provide the ADS project files instead?
