Why did I get 2 TCs in a resistor?

hi all.

I am using cadence to simulate the resistor but i use the ideal resistor. When i look at the property of the resistor, it got TC1 & TC2. Why got 2 TC and what is the unit ? is it in ppm/ ?K?

Hi Suria,
Some resistors have 2 TC (ie unsalicided poly and island). If you plot R vs T of that particular resistor, u will get parabolic curve which is represented by equation: y=a + bx +cx^2...... b is TC1 and c is TC2.

For metal and silicided res, normally the curve for R vs T is linear..... y=mx +c.... m is TC...... Normally TC already been included in the model file. So u don't have to specify it.
