alternator voltage regulator schematic

Greetings! I just found this group a few days ago. Hello! I have been working on a voltage regulator for a motorcycle utilizing discreet components. The design is for an energized field coil, one side attached to B+ and the other to the circuit. The design criteria were:

Alternator: 200W/20A (energized field coil)
Battery: 12V/12AH Lead Acid Battery

Right now, the circuit delivers a maximum current of 1.2 Amps to the field coil. The voltage cut-off is set to 13.8V. The connection points are labeled in the schematic. The "STATOR" connection is connected to one leg of the 3-phase "WYE" circuit.

This circuit is still in the design stage. I wanted to submit the design for criticism, commentary and critique. Thank you.

Future goals: the ability to switch the circuit on and off via the ignition switch.

Right now the circuit draws around 20mA and under load, dissapates around 9W necessitating heat-sinking.
