Ku band att pad

Re: Ku band att pad

Hi

I think what's you need ...simulate this pad using one of free field solvers
(Sonet for ex) and see is the pad parasitic good or not good for your application.

Re: Ku band att pad

Hi,

If you can't neglect parasitic element of chip,
ceramic side of chip resistor should be mounted to surface side.
(resist side of chip is mounted on substrate side)

This mount method is reduced parasitic element of chip resistor.

good luck.

correct, but not enough.
Resistor with the pad NOT WRAPPED should be used to reduce parasitic.
Also, 0603 is "very large" at Ku band, smaller dimensions and thin film type are better.
