LDO output

Regarding output voltage of low drop out regulator
Vout = VBG(1+R2/R1), I have one question here, please clarify. Vout is independent of Vin or not?
For example if VBG=1.25V (normally constant) and R1=500K and R2=200K Can we expect Vout=4.375V for 3V Vin. Or am I missing anything in the mathematical expression for the output voltage of LDO?
Thanks

LDO output

For LDO, the vout is limited by vin. your equation is corrent only when the vout is small than vin.

Re: LDO output

Vin must be great than Vout. Vin.min= Vout + Vdrop.min

LDO output

For LDO, Vdrop is different at each output current value so you need to care about output current.
