We have a Marconi 2955B Radio Communications Test Set that is scheduled for calibration, but we do not have the required data. Does anybody have a manual that shows calibration specs or data. If you have the information please contact me. Thank you.

You will need a password to get into before you can modify any stored data. Each parameter's DAC value is stored into a address. You will be better off buying the complete service manual (book or pdf) from a manual service because each parameter change needs a series of keystrokes from the frontpanel to alter the value in a certain address. Then before this change is applied, you need to exit the adjustment procedure, measure and do the whole thing sequence over again if you need to adjust a bit more. This is very time consuming. Calibration services will have a program to do this via the IEEE port, with the needed cal instruments also controlled via IEEE at the same time.

Even worse. I know of cases where guys attempted to cal a unit themselves and accidentally entered the wrong values into the wrong address, which caused all the stored cal values (a few hundred) to reset to the default of 255. Most ended up taking the unit to an agent to cal after battling for over a week with it.

Thank you for this information. We have a calibration service that has done this before, but they have misplaced the manual. Do you know how I will be able to get them one. They currently have our test set, we are just awaiting the manual.
