What is the green mask and how it differs from a solder mask

green mask

hi members,
please can anyone tell me ehat's a green mask and how can we make it, and what's the difference between a green mask and a solder mask.

A solder mask and a "green mask" are the same thing. Solder mask comes in various colors, including green.

The mask is either silk screened onto the finished circuit board as a liquid and heat cured, or is applied under vacuum as a photo sensitive dry film. Both processes are beyond amateur home production capability.

For home projects, spray laquer is usually adequate in providing the same as a professional solder mask.
