current sinking in ics

Dear Forum Members,
I want to know about the Current Sourcing And Sinking In IC's. I need Brief Tutorial to clear My Concept about this topic.

Any basic analog textbook (Allen/Holberg, Razavi, Johns/Martin, Gray/Meyer) will give you an introduction to this topic. You need to ask yourself the following questions:
1. Do I need power supply independence?
2. Do I need temperature independence?
3. Do I need process insensitivity?

Current sourcing means the current flows out the IC chip.
Current sinking means the current flows in the IC chip.
