To capture video streamming I recommend VLC Media Player. Although interface is not very user friendly, it's intuitive and it has successfully captured whichever mms links I tried to. Moreover it's freeware, not power hungry and doesn't need installation (you only need to move program directory) whereas many stream capture tools require deep installation (system files,reboot...). It also can work as stream server and media player (even with its own embedded codecs) and it's ported to many platforms.
