hspice 64bit

Our school bought a new machine...
CPU (opteron 250)...After installed hspice...
I found two binary files to run " hspice " & " hspice64 " ...Can anyone tell me what's the difference???
The readme file don't tell too much...The synopsys website is worse...
Can anyone tell me a exact example of the difference of the two binary files???
Thanks...

hspice64

If you cpu is 64bit you can use the "hspice64" to run Hspice, if the CPU is 32bit you must use the "hspice".

The must difference is based on your CPU.

hspice 64

I think which hspice to run is based on the OS the machine is running (32- or 64-bit version), not the CPU.

Of course you can't run 64-bit software on a 32-bit CPU.

hspice 64 bit

Check your OS,with command uname -a.
This will tell you if there is a 64bit Linux kernel or 32bit.

If your system is 64bit,then you can run 64bit hspice.

I install HSPICE 2008 but can not found HSPICE64.exe to run 64 bit version of this software,
who have HSPICE64.exe?
if you have this file, please sent it to me
