ratiometric adc strain gauge

Hi
please specify a circuit or ICs or methods for amplifying, filtering and ADC of strain gauge signal.
I saw analog device AD7730,Is it a good choice?

I don't know about AD part but looks good. Consider also the MAX1452 - is very good conditioner, PGA, filter, etc for strain gauge. Is missing ADC, but choose a good micro that has ADC on-board and you have complete system. Maxim has evaluation board with PC interface, very easy to try out.

You can also look at Linear Technology
For example theirs LTC2340, 20-bit Delta Sigma ADC
can be connected directly to a strain gauge.

I forgot to mention that you must have a ratiometric connection to the strain gage.
I.e. that you have the same reference voltage to feed the strain gage as to the ADC.
This because any changes in the voltage would cancel it other.

Linear technology has also various app. notes about strain gage interfaces.
