Help me build an audio detector that will produce DC voltage when audio is detected

hi,
do anyone has suggestion for me to built a audio detector cct whereby the cct will produce a dc voltage at presence of audio and 0V wen no audio detected over tht line....

using diode and R, C can do it!!

like AM demodulator.

you can use LM324 to construct a AC couple amplifier,

then rectify the output signal use a 1N4148 diode,

and filter the retified waveform use a parallel

RC network.

i kind of use the line for both switching and routing the audio signal
