i have just started working on comparator design. i read allen holberg book for it. can someone tell me from where i can get more and detailed stuff related to comparators
 

Well, is not much design for a comparator. Is a very simple circuit. You will find a little bit in David Johns, Ken Martin book.
 

Chapter 14 of Trade-Offs in Analog Circuit Design by C. Toumazou, G. Moschytz & B. Gilbert will give you a good idea of different comparator architectures.

Proper comparator design is not a straightforward task
