simulation - puzzle

I found a strange simulation results when I simulate my low frequency VGA.
it works at 200KHz,
and I use IC5033 to do trans. simulation with reservative precision.
the results show that it works quite well.
but when I modify the precision to 1ns(maxstep option)
the results becomes strange, and many spurs come out.
I wonder which is the right case.
and is the result under 1ns step more close to the reality or not?
it really puzzle me.
Please help

Maybe try it with 0.5ns precision, it will be more accurate than 1ns and you will know if 1ns was giving accurate enough.
