The 505 datasheet shows its rated for AC to 100 Khz ?

How come the LEM is for DC?...it says it has a secondary winding?
Because it's closed loop hall sensor. LEM has good explanation of operation principle. Depending on your accuracy requirements, there are smaller and cost effective open loop sensors with higher current range than ACS772.

Hi,
The ACS772 hall effect current monitor family can measure up to DC 400A, but its abs max current is DC 250A…As such, we are looking at the LEM LF 505-S Hall sensor…

Hi treez,

do you know MLX91206 from Melexis?
https://www.melexis.com/en/documents/documentation/datasheets/datasheet-mlx91206

It is a very simple circuit to use which allows to make a current measurement at low cost.
I use it to measure currents going well beyond 500A.
It costs significantly less than an LEM and allows for a very small footprint. I recommend it to you.
If you are interested, I can post on the forum a project that I realized, a few years ago, for measure bidirectional current about 300A for scooter lithium battery.
Good evening.
