Service Notification

EDAboard.com Scheduled Maintenance for 6/4/2020

Starting at 12:00pm EST Thursday June 4th EDABoard will be in maintenance mode and be unavailable. The website is being migrated to a new web server and the software is being upgraded. With the large volume of data & images to move, migration is expected to last for 8 - 10 hours. When started the forum will go into maintenance mode and no posts, edits or registrations can be made.

    Putty error (SSH) - DISPLAY NOT DEFINED

    Hello everyone, I'm having trouble doing remote access because the following message '' 'DISPLAY <NOT DEFINED>' '' appears, since I have installed Xming.

    try adding

    -display localhost:0

    to commandline .

    does the xming installation works without problem
    as a standalone server?

    1- Xming is working normally, yes.
    2- did not answer for sure, but I believe so.

    please post on the environments you use.
    xming system and system NXclient is communicating.

    ensure that xming is working as standalone without problem by running
    an xapp like xeyes etc.
    if it is runing ok , connect opennx with appropriate proxy settings.

    suggested basic configuration:

    display settings:multiplewndows/display=0
    session:noclient
    additionalparameters:clipboard in 'xlaunch'

    try display field as -127.0.0.1:0
    if not working it can be due to multiple monitor issue or some other
    display driver mismatch in xming .
