I want to know can I drive simple PNP transitor using micro controller. The emitter is at 12V & load resistance is of 250 ohm.
When the uC pin is high it has 12.2K resistor is series (10K + 2.2K) to 12V, in this case uC pin can be damaged.
When uC pin low it will sink current from 12V. There is no issue while current sink. (uC pin can sink upto 15mA current). The transistor is PDTB123YT, it has in built resistors inside. The transistor datasheet is attached.
I have attached short schematic for quick reference (the resistors shwon in schematic are inbuilt inside transistor package).
Can anybody tell microcontroller pin will be damaged or not?
