I have read both datasheet ,but i was a bit confused .Please it is possible to clarify ,that can i use pic16F84a instead of pic 18LF1220 ,i just wanna try something .i have a hex file that must work with 16f84 but it does not ,so i see that someone use instead for same hex 18lf1220 .i do not know if it working or not ,but my question is both IC pin to pin compatible

Pin compatible, yes. 18F1220 has many feature that 16F84A doesn't have, you need to like for the application details.

Hex code for PIC16 and PIC18 family is never compatible.
