Inquiry of the control panel devices used in gym equipment

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the control panel device installed in the gym equipment like this: control Panel.PNG.

Would anyone teach me the following questions?
1. what are the main components used for this kind of control panel?
2. is there any popular development kit that can be used to implement the features required for these gym products?
3. are there any open source development examples available online, for example, Arduino, that is showing how to develop this kind of control panel?

Hi,

From what I see, the nain part are:
* case
* custom made display
* microcontroller


Programming:
There is nothing special. I see no need for a development kit.
Any IDE .. combined with standard programming skills ... should do.
