Good Day All,

I am trying to come up with a simple answer for a problem that I cannot solve.
Heres my situation.

1.) I have a transducer that has the following output characteristics. The unit
has a voltage output of between 0 and 5.62 volts d.c.

2. I have a panel meter that I have to use that will read between 0 and 1 volt d.c.

3.) There may be times when the lower voltage would be 2.2 volts or 3 volts
etc. etc. (the lower voltage will vary with a changing application)

4.) There may be times when the higher voltage would be 4.5 volts or 4 volts
etc. etc. (the higher voltage will vary with a changing application)

5.) I need a circuit or an idea of for circuit that would allow these output voltage
scenarios to always be converted to a low voltage of 0 and a high voltage of
1 so that the same panel meter can be used, Its a total mystery to me and
any help would surely be appreciated !!!

Thanks All

Try to use an opamp supplied of +/-5V.
For your sensor, you need a voltage devider in the ratio 5.62 : 1, and in this case use the opamp as a buffer.
For voltages in the range 2.2-3V and 4-4.5V connect this voltage through, say, 10kΩ resistor to (+) input of the opamp and use another 10kΩ resistor to "inject" -2.2 or -4V. This will shift voltage level from 2.2 to 0 (and from 4 to 0) and you will be able to connect your panel meter directly to the output of the opamp...
Good luck an regards,
IanP
