Hello!
I have not used an oscilloscope since school, 20 years ago. I got a Kikusui cos2020 from a friend without any probes. Would be fun to use and learn with.
But which probes should I buy?
I was think about geting some cheap ones, but don't know if it's the right ones.
P6060 probes from ali: https://a.aliexpress.com/lKWzOyYEf
Specifications:
Bandwidth: 60MHz
Rish Time: 5.8ns
Attenuation Ratio: 1X & 10X
Input Resistance: 1X: 1MΩ±2% 10X: 10MΩ±2%
Input Capacitance: 1X: 70pF~120pF 10X: 14pF~18pF
Maximum Input: 1X: 200 Working Voltage (Vp-p) 10X: 600 Working Voltage (Vp-p)
Compensation Range: 15~45pF
Operation Environment: 0~50 Degree , 0~80%RH

Here are some Pictures of the oscilloscope and some specs from the manual:

Those probes should be suitable. It isn't a high performance machine I'm afraid but it will be fine for hobby usage.
Don't forget to calibrate the new probes before you take any measurements:
1. set their switches to X10 position
2. connect the probe to the calibration output on the scope and ground clip nearby
3. adjust the Y gain to get a waveform about 1/3 of the screen height
4. adjust the X timebase so you can see four or five cycles of the waveform
5. using a non-metalic screwdriver, adjust the small screw in the probe plug housing so you get square corners on the square wave.

Be careful adjusting the screw, they are delicate and if it breaks the probe becomes useless.

Brian.

Thank you for the information! I ordered a set of those probes. Will try to calibrate them.
