Hello friends

I have two types of iron to make the iron core Transformator
In the same number of rounds

220v to 12V

Type A No Load current = 130ma

Type B No Load Current = 100ma

What can we conclude empirically?
Is Type B Better?

Thanks

May be better. For completeness, we would measure current phase angle. Current can be lower due to higher permeability or lower losses.

You need to measure real core loss, with a wattmeter that measures true power= V*I*cos(alpha).

The core material with the lowest losses, all other things kept identical, is the best.

When I say all other things should be identical, I mean IDENTICAL. Including the applied voltage.
