hi,

I want to design a isolated push-pull converter using UC3846 pwm controller. Specs are

V(in) = 10-18VDC
V(out) = 100VDC
I(out) = 6 Amps

I can implement non isolated version. I need help in the implementation of isolated voltage feedback loop using TL431 and opto-coupler.

Regards

Hello, 600 watts out = 60ADC in, so the turns ratio needs to be at least 1:10 ( 10V to 100V ) more to allow for losses.

push-pull is OK but the Tx needs to be low leakage L from pri to pri & pri's to sec ...

there are loads of app notes showing how to use TL431 & opto to get a signal to the pri side

the op-amp on the 3846 needs to be configured as a unity gain follower

good luck ...

I will be very thankful to you can provide some documents. I need some detailed theory regarding loop compensation etc.

Regards
