Seeking: 3400uF 50VAC or greater low loss, tan-delta < 0.01 say

Hello All,

Am seeking some caps for a power filter at low voltage AC, per the title.

Would consider 3 x 1200uF or even 5 x 680 uF AC..!

The combined 3400uF should be able to handle 50A rms on a continuous basis ( motor start caps are out as too lossy, tan-delta = 10% )

any pointers to a solution welcomed

kind regards,

and please don't say back to back electrolytics with diodes ...

I don't really know what space this is in, frequency etc. I'm assuming mains.

They do make bipolar electrolytic though I'm not clear if they're suited for continuous AC use or not.

Films won't have any problem with the current but they might be huge and expensive.

MLCC are out because they don't actually handle AC well correct?

Standard power electronics DC bus capacitors like 850V 3750µF are the nearest. D 150 mm; L 225 mm!

CAP: I0600L9500UKN4BFE3N, 1000pcs, FOB price USD25.00/EACH

Sheng Ye Electric Co., Ltd, Add:No.4, Lunjiao Xinxi 4th Road, Shunde, Foshan City, Guang Dong Province, 528309, China, Tel: +86-757-27830015 www.shengye.com

So the above cap part # is 600V 950uF ( DC bus cap - but fine for AC as it is film/foil ) 3 of these babies is $75.00 USD + some littlies thrown in to get to 3400uF

at low loss ...

how I did it: - by searching the internet

company is reliable? I got a detailed data sheet and have samples in transit.
