which solution is correct ?

Hi,

You are correct. It should be !B.!C.D.!E
May be a typo.

Hi,

Your K-map has 5 inputs.
That gives 2^5 = 32 values.

For a single value your equation needs 5 inputs
If you combine 2 values your equation needs 4 inputs
If you combine 4 values your equation needs 3 inputs
If you combine 8 values your equation needs 2 inputs
If you combine 16 values your equation needs 1 inputs
