Hi I did not know how to post in this thread after so long https://www.edaboard.com/showthread.php?382299-micro-tel-1200-service&highlight=1200 so regarding this receiver, I noticed that there is no input signal in it's connector, then there is no "hum" heard.
In fact by using also the internal attenuator I attenuate this hum but as well the RF input signals.

Does it give you any thought of where this hum could be generated from?
Sweep set to off so there should not be any sweep signal coming through I guess.
BTW, bu tuning my communications receiver (connected to the 30MHz output of the micro-tel 1200) +/- 2MHz below/above 30MHz, I can tune to different AM signals, as expected.
I have also connected an antenna tuned and a 5MHz HPF to the input of the micto-tel 1200, so as to reject the mains LF.
I do not think this hum should be there, but where could it be generated from?
