Hi,

for my project I am using a TLV4172/OPA4172 OpAmp.

I'm using this OpAmp because it's rail to rail and it's dual power. These are features that I need.
But it's very expensive. Are you aware of a valid substitute that costs less?

You need to specify the required OP parameters in detail, e.g.
- supply voltage
- in- and output voltage range
- bandwidth, slew-rate
- offset voltage and -drift
- input current

Hi,

Every Opamp manufacturer, as well as every distributor provides online selection guides....especially for people like you to find the best suitable part.
You just have to use it.

Opamps have literally dozens of parameters, as others have mentioned. Only you know the circuit and application, and be able to determine what parameters are important, what parameters may be neglected, and which you will have to adapt the circuit or performance requirements.

As Klaus mentioned, online selector guides are your best friend.
It may seem overwhelming at first, but start by hiding the parameters you don't really require.

An example from Analog Devices:
