Hi!

Is it possible to use Modbus RTU directlly on the pins of an ESP32? Using arduino framework on VSC. Or should I use a MAX485?

For measuring miliamp current in a 240Vac system can I use ACS712? Is there other option?

Thanks,
Bruno

Hello,

you can choose: ACS70331

Here is link to it :

These sensor have smaller noise (8ma for 1MHz band), and bigger sensibility. For AC current you have to average a half of period (for sinus curve).

For first question - yes using a Max485 is simpler(and in my opinion better) option.

Regards

Thanks,

I'm going to look at it. I will have to hand soldering the PCB so i will look to other type of Package / Case.
