why am I getting 0.735 at the output in the following sch? shouldn't that be close to 0V

0.739V.jpg0.739V.jpg

Hi,

Read the datasheet.
The SS34 has a lot of reverse current.

This means if reverse biased, there still will be current.

For 0.739V @36kOhms it's just 20uA.

Components are not ideal ... if they were .. one does not need datasheets.

If the Schottky diode gets hot or even just a little warm then its reverse current is much higher. Keep it in the freezer if you want a low leakage current.
