It's hard to unscrew the coaxial cable from the antenna.

Is there something that can make that easier and minimize corrosion?

I think there is corrosion occurring on the aluminum "arms" of the antenna as well.

all metals corrode one way or another, except gold
gold does not tarnish or corrode
it does not interact with oxygen in the air

the best way that I know of to keep metal from corroding it to gold plate it.

i do not think the corrosion of the antenna "arms" is of any real consequence
is it degrading the performance of the antenna?

there is no lubricant of grease you can use, as the screw threads are part of the connection
the coax cable has two conductors - the center wire, which shows up as a center pin in the connector,
and the outer shield, which connects to the screw threads.

one way to make it easier to unscrew the connector is to unscrew it periodically
once a month? once every other month? don't know what is sufficient
but the process of unscrewing it ans screwing it back should clean the treads enough
you might give the threads a quick swipe with a little steel wool

It's hard to unscrew the coaxial cable from the antenna....

The center pin of the connector is often gold plated. The body is not.

Some corrosion on the aluminium arms on the antenna will not affect the performance. You can spray paint the exposed aluminium parts.

For the connector, you can apply some graphite lubricant (make sure it does not short) on the threads- they will reduce corrosion to a significant extent.

Alternatively, you can use "conformal coating" after you clean and fix the connector. They can be peeled off relatively easily.

Silicone rubber sealants are also useful- they seal well but are removable. Use the ones that do not get very hard.

I have some spray graphite used for locks.

Will that work?

I have some spray graphite used for locks.

Yes, but protect the center pin getting shorted from the body.
