Hi to all.

I am working in a one wire-based circuit design work. However, as a student I am facing financial difficulties to procure components. I found that MAX13202EALT+ IC is being used to protect the other ICs from ESD.

I am referring to the MAXREFDES131 reference design from Maxim.

Since the ESD protector IC MAX13202EALT+ is a costly choice, my question is, can I use single tvs diode for ESD protection? If yes, what kind of diode values should I need to meet my ESD requirement?

Thanks to all.
