Hi, In Microwave engineering by Pozar, for constant K-filters it was said that
Zi1 = input impedance at port 1 when port 2 is terminated with Zi2 .

I would like to know

(1).Is it also true that the input impedance at port 1 is Zi2 if the port 2 is terminated with Zi1?
2.How to make the input impedance looking into port 1 is 50 ohm, when port 2 is terminated with 50 ohm and vice versa ( input impedance looking into port 2 is 50 ohm, when port 1 is terminated with 50 ohm)?. I think I should use the ZiT formula shown in below figure but for that I need to whether (1) is true.

Suggest to read the section 8.2 up to the posted snippet more thoroughly. Your questions are already answered in the text. Look from where they are analyzing symmetric networks (Zi1 = Zi2).
