Hi all,

Can anyone tell that what will be the effect of adding BUFs in data path for timing optimization on LEC. Will it show any LEC violations ?

Thanks

Not if they're inserted correctly.

A buffer will never change the functionality, it has no effect on LEC. An inverter does change the functionality, but the tools are smart enough to add/remove a 2nd inverter to keep the functionality the same.
