I am trying to replicate **broken link removed**

Is it feasible to manually draw from scratch a 2-layer PCB inside HFSS ?

Or should I use external PCB drawing tool such as Kicad or Altium, then import the PCB layout into HFSS instead ?

Which method is easier to work with ?

Standard PCB packages such as Altium, Kicad etc. cannot draw this type of precise Microwave layouts.
I would draw this layout in AutoCAD ( or similar CAD program) then import into HFSS as a DXF.

They surely can. Any tool allows you to enter and edit polygons with exact coordinates. The better question is which tool can it draw comfortably, e.g. using construction functions, geometrical primitives etc.
