Hi, how do you people plot load-line on MOSFET output characteristics in cadence spectre? I only have this thing in mind, plot output characterisitcs, save the plot as image and draw a line connecting maximum current and voltage points in paint. I know that it is the stupid way, that is why I want to know how you do. Thanks

I don’t know what postprocessing tool you use.

However almost all postprocessing tool have ability of X-Y plot.
Use X-Y plot.

If you prefer static load line, do DC analysis.
If you prefer dynamic load line, do transient or pss Analysis.

If you prefer dynamic load line, do transient or pss Analysis.

It took a long time for me to decode this.

Hi, how do you people plot load-line on MOSFET output characteristics in cadence spectre?

Briefly for newbies. I plotted voltage and current using transient analysis. Then in the calculator calculate and plot V/I. Later choose Y vs Y, plot if needed.

This has no relation to Cadence Spectre at all.

Simply it is postprocessing.
If you use Cadence ViVA with PSF data, use skill function waveVsWave() function.
That’s all.
