Hello scientists of edaboard
Has anyone ever model the whole insertion loss mechanisms in a simple rf circuit
And has anyone success to match the simulation and measurement of insertion loss diagram?
Doubtedly the true modeling of surface roughness is important.
Has anyone the experience about it?
What model we can use.
Particularly in planar rf circuits like microstrip lines، what model is best describing and is the last best theory of insertion loss modeling? Morgan, groise، huray, h&j...?
Thanks for the help.

John Coonrod (Rogers) and James Rautio (Sonnet) have done quite some work on this, for example
