See attached figure.
This figure shows transmission Coefficient, |T(Ω)| of Elliptic LPF for order=7 and order=6.

Here, there are two problem for even order case.

(1) |T(Ω=0)| ≠ 1
(2) |T(Ω=∞)| ≠ ∞

As you know, we can not realize Even Order Elliptic LPF by L and C.

So frequency conversion is applied for original transmission Coefficient to overcome this problem.

T(Ω) -> T(ω)

However is this equivalent to an order reduction ?

Is there any practical value for Even Order Elliptic LPF of L and C ?
