Hello everyone,

I've noticed that MAX485CSA appeared on the market with additional characters situated just after CSA. Like MAX485CSA+, MAX485CSA+T

CSA -it's clear from MAX485 manual. That means SO8, 0..+70; https://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/MAX1487-MAX491.pdf

I've tried to find out what does mean '+T'. There's no any definitons in manuals related to this chip.

Thank you!

Hi,

Symbols in part number: + Lead-free, RoHS compliant - Not qualified as lead-free RoHS # RoHS compliant, lead exemption
"T" = REEL
(Without "T" may be tube. Don´t ask me why ;-) )

it appears to be T = tape. The package standard. The tape winds around a reel. Further, to positioner at soldering automat. It has nothing to do with electronic features of IC. :bang:
It uses when you need to solder thousand chips/components a day, for example. :)

Thanks to all!
