I want to measure injector pulses on a car engine, so need a nice clean 5v signal for the micro to read.

A typical injector pulse has a nasty 60V spike when it closes:

Will a standard opto coupler cope with that?

Cheers.

Why opto coupler. simply a voltage divider with clamp diode.
