Hi Team

I want to simulate the top level of my IC with the ESD device. However, the ESD devices from the PDK are modeled without schematic views. The available views are auCdl, auLvs, hspiceD, hspiceS, layout, spectre, symbol.

Can anyone teach me how can I simulate these ESD devices in my simulation?

Thanks
Allen

Create a Config View of the Design. The Config View will partition the circuit blocks with different and available views then you can change "the view" of ESD block being as layout/spectre etc. ( whichever is available and valid) after that you can run your simulations by adding "config" to View List in Spectre Simulator controller..

What do you mean by “Cadence simulation” ?
Use correct terminology.

If you use HSPICE Direct, stop view is “hspiceD”.
If you use HSPICE Socket, stop view is “hspiceS”.
If you use Spectre Direct, stop view is “spectre”.

Config view is not required at all.
Place and connect symbol of ESD device in top level schematic.

In any case, you have to include model files which describe ESD devices.
