Reworking a PCB with a 0805 resistor or a MELF resistor?
Hi
If a PCB were to be re-worked, involving an 0805 SMD resistor being soldered between two pads, (pads to which the resistor was not intended to be soldered to in the first place, and to which other SMD components are actually soldered to) with the resistor being on its side so as to avoid other components, then would this be a good ploy?....or alternatively, would it be better to use an MMU0102 package resistor, because it presumably has more sturdy terminations?
MMU0102 is the same length (more or less) as an 0805
