Hi,

Is deadtime necessary necessary in every bldc or pmsm motor control applications?

thanks

Hi,

deadtime is neccessary for the halfbridge, not for the motor.
.. to avoid excessively high short circuit currents thay may degrade efficiency and may kill the MOSFETs/IGBTs/BJTs.

There is plenty of information in the forum and in the internet. Just do a search on your own.
