Dear All,
I want to design a low-side bidirectional battery disconnect switch for controlling the battry connection meanwhile its charging/discharging in a BMS.
Is there anyone who could suggest me a circuitry to conroll the connection via a Microcontroller?

Thanks in advance.

Try this:

img_igbtmod_04.jpg

tie the gates together.
ground emitters, control to gates

the diodes are parasitic with the IGBT

Hi,

you may use a solid state relay, or photoMOS, or a mechanical relay.

You know: You didn´t give any specification about voltage, current, speed....thus we can only guess.

Aren't the IGBTs Ron higher than the desired values?!
Don't you suggest the driving circuitry?

--> Please tell us your "desired values"

Since the power stage of the IGBT`s are based on a BJT structure, it is not usual refer to their Rdson parameters, but rather to their Vceon parameters.

The circuit in post #2 can also be used with power MOSFET's.
IGBT's have a specified voltage drop. Power MOSFET's have a specified resistance.
IGBT's are good for high voltage cricuits. Power MOSFET's are better for low voltage circuits.

Please give specifications/requirements for the "battery disconnect switch".
